Sigmariver Medium is Sigma Paints' trowel-applied textured wall finish, based on a copolymer dispersion filled with ground natural stone. It lays down a tough, structured surface that hides small imperfections in concrete, cement render and plaster, and it can be worked with a plastic trowel into a range of texture patterns. Supplied off-white and flat in a 25 kg pail, it is approved by the manufacturer for both interior and exterior walls and stays water-vapour permeable so the wall can still breathe. Practical consumption is roughly 3.3–3.5 kg per square metre depending on the substrate. Where to use it: • Textured decorative finish on interior walls • Textured finish on exterior walls and building facades • Covering hairline surface defects on primed concrete, cement render and plaster • Creating hand-worked texture patterns on feature walls and entrances Important: • Not a floor coating — for floors ask for the Sigma Floorguard range. • Not a primer. Concrete, render and plaster must be primed first with 0852 Sigma Acrylic Primer Sealer or 0804 Sigmafix Primer. • Do not apply over old oil-based (alkyd) wall paint — strip it back and prime.
