Catnic Standard Angle Bead (STD) is a galvanised steel corner bead for internal plastering. The 53 mm wings and 75° nose give a true, sharp corner and reinforce the plaster exactly where it takes the knocks, so edges resist chipping and cracking. It works with a plaster thickness of 12-19 mm and is fixed with galvanised or stainless nails at 600 mm centres, or bedded onto dabs of the same undercoat material at 600 mm centres. Supplied in 2.4 m and 3.0 m lengths, 50 lengths per carton; Catnic specifies galvanised beads for internal use only. Where to use it: • Forming true, sharp external corners in internal plasterwork • Protecting and reinforcing plaster corners against chipping and cracking • Internal plaster at 12-19 mm thickness, on solid backgrounds or over metal lath Important: • Not for outdoor corners, facades, balconies or terraces — ask us for the Catnic stainless steel angle bead (STD3.0SS). • Not for bathrooms, wet rooms or any area with heavy condensation or constant damp — use the stainless steel or PVCu bead instead. • Not for swimming pools or water tanks — this bead is not made for water contact. • Do not use plaster mixed with sea sand or salty water — the salts rust galvanised steel. Use clean sand and clean water.
